It's against actual other players. Yeah that's right, that's why the lag is there. It's actually online, unlike some paper-ish apps where you're just playing against a bunch of bots.

Swisscakerollgirl, Great app but glitches are hellishThe mechanics of the game are great, and it’s a great adaptation of a great concept, but glitches drag you through hell. The worst glitch for me is that when I exit out of the app after a round and then go back in for another, the screen stays green when i tap “normal” and nothing happens, and 15 minutes later it finally comes back. There are also glitches where you claim land but only the line you traced is claimed, not the land inside, and then you need to spend a whole minute getting all that land you just claimed. It’s common for the player’s sprite to kill itself when it approaches the edge even if it doesn’t hit the edge, and less common but still possible, you’re playing normally and the lines skew and create strange shapes even if you just claimed a simple rectangle, and if you hit the land you claimed, you die. You can also hit another player’s line and they won’t die, and then they hit yours and you die, which is also fairly common. You could also encounter players’ sprites not even moving for a few seconds, just staying completely stationary (this is more common on teams mode but still happens on normal) There are a few more.

This app definitely needs a lot of bug fixes, and then I will up this to 4 or 5 stars. Sksskskss and i oop, Looove this game but so many glitchesHiii I play this game like every second I get and it’s sooo fun and addictive but there are baddd glitches I mean why is it normal that I risk like 35 seconds collecting tonsss of mass only to find out that all it did was outline it??? Cat quest pirate treasure. And now I have to spend sooo much time filling it in!!! Also some of the ads have an x at the top after a few seconds so I can X out of it after a few seconds and continue playing but a lot of the time there is no x and if I press the screen it brings me to App Store!! You think I’m interested in going to App Store whole I’m trying to play splix?!?! Absolutely nottt!!! So when this happens I have to restart the app and it is a total inconvenience and it’s a pity cuz it wastes so much time and without these bugs the game would be a million times better but oh well I really hope you fix it soon thanksss have fabulous day.

ModKing1, I want to Love this game, but.There are numerous glitches. A glitch that shoots you across the screen. A glitch where you’ve killed someone, but they don’t disappear, and instead, you die. A glitch where other players are purposely standing still in one spot without moving, then when you get close they kill you. A glitch where you end up going in all these weird diagonal angles. And a glitch w/ the green screen on login screen. I really do enjoy this game when it’s working properly, but sadly this not even half of the time.

The lag is a big deterrent, because it just takes away from the balanced flow of the game. I really do hope the lag and several glitches this game struggles with gets resolved soon.

I’ve had the game for about 6 months, and I’ll give it some more time. I have gigabit internet speeds and new iPadPro with 256G.so i know issues are not on my end. Please please please fix these issues soon.they really take away the fun experience of the game.
